It was brought to my attention that some of my students would like to see a chair fit class on the schedule. I was not real excited about working out while sitting in a chair to be honest, however, I tried it and I really liked it. I ordered some chairs and made the Monday noon class a "Sit Fit" class. This is a non heated class and it is ideal for anyone recovering from an injury or someone with limited mobility. I have found that you can tone your entire body all the while sitting down. The hand weights and resistance bands make this possible, as well as using your own body weight. There is 0 impact on your knees, hips, back and ankles. If you know someone who would benefit from this type of class, I will put them in the Not So Hot seat and meet them wherever they are on their fitness journey. In other news, I want to extend a big thank you to all of you for supporting Fenix Hot Fitness and will be honoring a student of the month starting in November. This student will receive a special gift from me to say thank you for showing up consistently to take care of yourself!! It's simply the most classes taken in the month of November. December's goal will be different...I hope to make it fun/creative and most of all encouraging. I need to know some fun facts about each of you, so watch for posts pertaining to fun facts! The Sit Fit Class has been fabulous! I have physical limitations so I am not able to participate in other classes. This Sit Fit class allows me to enjoy lighter exercise, stretching and movement in a group so I get to feel the whole class experience. If any of you have physical limitations or if you are rehabbing from injury or surgery, I highly recommend this class. It is fun, it is group interaction, it is rewarding, motivating and satisfying. You can modify any of the movements to fit your limitations and still benefit from the class. Plus, the music playlists are so good…they add so much pleasure and enjoyment to the class.
